The position of Correction Enterprise Supervisor II is responsible for training offenders in the safe proper and most efficient operation of equipment and practices utilized in sewing manufacturing operation while ensuring quality and quantity standards in accordance with applicable laws policies and regulations. This employee will organize and direct work assignment of offenders and set up of equipment for processing raw materials. The employee will prepare a variety of written reports involving subjects such as inventory levels equipment specifications offender incidents incentive wage payroll and production schedules. The work environment may involve exposure to noise dust fumes dangerous machinery chemical fluids and falling objects. This may require the use of personal protective equipment (such as ear plugs/muffs safety glasses respirators protective clothing and/or personal protective equipment).

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum of two years of related industry/service experience;

An equivalent combination of training and directly related experience
Necessary Qualifications
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
Plant Specific Special Requirements Agriculture
NC Pesticide License and NC Wastewater License
Cannery Low Acid and Acidified Food Production certification must be obtained within one year of hire
Laundry Certified Professional Laundry Manager or Certified Laundry and Linen Manager certification
Braille Certified Braille Transcriber certificate must be obtained within 18 months of hir
