About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) team within the Division of Student Services and Operations. The Senior Cyber Security Analyst role will support the delivery of a contemporary cyber security program that supports the strategic objectives of the institution. The role will assist in identifying and managing cyber risks providing support and awareness managing compliance cyber threats and vulnerabilities and responding to events and incidents to ensure continuity of operations.
What youll do:
- Lead investigations and report on ICT security threats incidents and conduct forensic analysis.
- Implement effective cyber security and Information Security framework including strategy policy practice and methodologies.
- Conduct cyber security reviews of thirdparty cloud services to manage the risk to the Universitys brand and infrastructure.
- Work collaboratively with other ICT Services teams and stakeholders across the University to effectively manage ICT Security compliance and ICT Security investigations.
- Develop and maintain effective reporting and communication methods to University Governance groups University members and ICT operational staff and provide advice on contemporary ICT security issues.
What were looking for:
- Extensive experience in reviewing system logs and events and investigation of anomalies.
- Experience in implementing effective Cyber Security and Information Security framework including strategy policy practice and methodologies in a large and diverse organisational environment.
- Ability to assess developments in the Information Technology industry specifically as they relate to Information Security.
- Able to conduct sensitive investigations where breaches of policy state or federal laws have occurred while adhering to privacy requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis of data from threat and vulnerability feeds.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $126637 comprising base salary within the range of $98473 to $108237 plus 17 superannuation.
