This is a hybrid role with a mix of inoffice and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your role

As part of the RadioCanada Digital Media team you will play an active role in creating innovative projects on RadioCanadas major platforms such as RadioCanada INFO Olympic Games coverage OHdio RCI and Mordu. You will take an active role in our development of our current platforms. Youll be called upon to develop our content management system (CMS) adapting it to the needs of journalists webmasters and developers.

Main responsibilities

  • Create test cases for new features and perform some manual tests.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and the efficiency of testing methods.
  • Collaborate with web developers and test automation developers.
  • Collaborate with the other quality analysts among the team.
  • Participate in the selection of test cases that should be automated.
  • Ensure the good performance of the application.
  • Document decisions and changes for training and collaboration purposes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprints scrums demos retros etc. .
  • Participate in the application deployment processes.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Technologies

  • Advanced knowledge of web application development cycles
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Chrome and its diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of the Gherkins writing methodology
  • Knowledge of Testrail
  • Knowledge of payload validation tools (like postman)
  • Knowledge of React MongoDB and Elastic Search an asset
  • Knowledge of messaging systems an asset

Skills and experience

  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Analytical mind
  • Have participated in at least one complex web development project
  • Rigor autonomy proactivity resourcefulness
  • Knowledge of the Scrum methodology in Sprint
  • Knowledge of accessibility concepts (A11Y)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or Postsecondary studies in a relevant computer/technical field
  • Fluency in French required and functional knowledge of written and spoken English an asset.
