Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
Schedule: Full Time Day Shift
Facility: Prime Healthcare St Joseph Hospital
Location: Elgin IL 60123

Know Your Rights: the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist) will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Qualifications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals including patients families and medical professionals.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment.
5. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or challenging situations displaying empathy and compassion for patients and their families.
6. Proficient in using computer systems and electronic health records (EHR) with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new software programs.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules including the ability to work weekends evenings and holidays as needed.
8. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role which includes estimated wages benefits and other forms of compensation is $31.28 to $45.35. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire in which a wide range of factors will be considered including but not limited to skillset years of applicable experience education credentials and licensure.
