We are looking for an experienced attorney to help manage Amazons labor and employment issues throughout the U.S. Responsibilities include providing practical advice and counseling regarding general labor and employment issues such as those relating to discrimination disability accommodation hiring performance management and discharge wage and hour wrongful termination and other relevant labor and employment issues. Responsibilities also include managing litigation including class action litigation government agency investigations proactive training and administrative charges as well as the assessment selection and supervision of outside counsel.
This position will work actively with internal clients in the Human Resources Department and requires the ability to travel when necessary. This position reports to the Senior Corporate Counsel Labor & Employment.
5 years of legal experience Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and inhouse work Experience with complex and classaction wagehour litigation as well as California employmentlaw litigation Experience with large hourly populations Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to crossfunctional teams Excellent organizational skills ability to manage multiple projects at once follow through and meet deadlines Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analytical and computer skills
