Chandler Innovation Academy
Instructor
POSITION PURPOSE: Assist classroom teacher(s) by providing support services to individuals small groups and/or whole classrooms of students for the sole purpose of increasing student achievement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support classroom instruction and increase student achievement
- Close achievement gap
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree required
- Teaching degree preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred for EL Collaborator
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Selfdriven and motivated
- High energy committed to teaching in collaboration with others
- Can motivate students
- Strong problem solver
- Skilled at communicating with staff and students
- Can model thinking and problem solving skills to students
- Believes all students can learn
- Fosters positive validating relationships within the school community
- Can track student progress
- Understands literacy instruction
- Familiar with MultiTiered Systems of Support
- Values diversity
HOURS:School year 180 days per year; 40hours per week; daily hours 7:30am to 3:30pm)
SALARY:$21.00$21.65 rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. Those with a Masters Degree are eligible for an additional $1.00 per hour. (Schedule #212
