Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Manager to join our team.

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has identified public health research as a priority area for investment recognising that local authorities can influence many of the causes of ill health. Leicestershire County Council has set up Health Determinants Research Collaborations (HDRCs) The aim of the scheme is to increase the quantity and quality of research conducted by LAs on the wider determinants of health ensuring evidence informs decision making to improve the health of the population they serve.

About the Role

As a Project Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of the HDRC milestones and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop detailed project plans for each workstream.
  • Support the reporting of progress and financials to NIHR funders.
  • Coordinate and present HDRC progress and finance reports.
  • Facilitate key meetings and ensure decisions and actions are captured.
  • Monitor and forecast project finances.
  • Establish communication and engagement mechanisms internally and externally.
  • Maintain and update key documentation including Gantt charts budget monitoring and risk logs

About You

To apply for this post you must hold or have experience of:

  • Qualifications: NVQ4 level in Project Management/Business Admin or equivalent.
  • Project Management: Experience in planning managing projects and preparing documentation.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Skilled in organizing and facilitating key meetings.
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and preparing financial reports.
  • PMO Knowledge: Understanding of Programme Management Office requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions to support project delivery

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.
