Qualified and highly motivated postdoctoral candidates are invited to join the laboratory of Dr. Chengyu Liang at The Wistar Institute the first National Cancer Institute (NCI)designated basic cancer center.
Research in Liang Lab focuses on understanding the basic principle of cellular processes to answer key questions in cancer development and viral infectious disease. Positions are available for studying stem cell biology in colorectal cancer and leukemia development using the stateoftheart 3D platform and respective animal models; and for studying melanoma resistance. Our lab is a multidisciplinary highly interactive team and postdocs are expected to conduct independent and challenging research and work in a highly collaborative manner. Projects will discover potential new targets to guide the personalized treatment of devastating human cancers of unmet need. Candidates with strong laboratory experience with penetrating knowledge of molecular and cellular biology biochemistry immunology or related disciplines and demonstrated ability to complete complex research projects will be considered. Prior experience with 3D culture mice experiments and bioinformatics skills would be helpful.
