Job Title: Night Delivery/Collection Driver
Reports to: Depot Manager
Department: Distribution
Business unit: NVS
main purpose of the role
To carry out collections and deliveries on behalf of external customers. Representing the company in a professional and cost effective manner. Working within GDP guidelines and ensuring customer satisfaction by acting as a company ambassador.
Core role accountabilities:Principal tasks and responsibilities
- To collect and deliver samples on behalf of external customers
- To prioritise evening collections based on e mail recieved at the start of your shift.
- Carry out vehicle inspections before commencing shift to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy.
- Ensure all work related equipment is working efficiently.
- Ensure all work stationary is present to allow correct procedure to be followed.
- Report back to Lockbox supervisor on receipt of daily work e mail.
- Liaise with other drivers in your team as to how you share the daily collection workload.
- Drive and act in a courteous manner at all times befitting of the companies behavior policy as per the drivers handbook (provided)
- On completion of nightly collections liaise with other drivers involved in the transfer of the samples to coordinate a safe smooth & exact handover.
- At the handover point all samples to be counted from van to van and checked against paperwork
- Whilst collecting samples drivers are to complete paperwork relating to the amount collected and from which customer as guided by the e mail sent at the beginning of the shift.
- Health & Safety
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times including wearing of any PPE supplied
- Promote Health & Safety awareness throughout the depot environment
- Be aware of relevant Risk Assessments and Fire Assessments.
- To drive in a considerate and responsible manner as you are representing NVS.
- Report vehicle defects as per commercial vehicle drivers handbook.

- 2 years previous delivery experience.
- Good geographical knowledge
- Ability to prioritise and route plan to enable time constraints to be met.
