We are seeking Senior DevOps (IaC) Engineers to join our team. The qualified candidate will support the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution in our environment. These environments a mix of servers workstations storage networks and custom hardware provide the enterprise hybridcloud backbone for product development and testing for a large Project producing a critical strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of handson keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.
The Senior DevOps IaC Engineer will be well versed in the use of tools such as Ansible and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution for our programs.
NOTE: This position will be filled onsite in the RTX Facility located in either Aurora CO or Richardson TX accordingly and the ideal candidate will be expected to come on site to the RTX campus to perform work.
What You Will Do:
- You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment implementation modernization and support of IaC solutions
- You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates dashboards and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks
- You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as Terraform
- You will assist with design/architecture/development and support of build/test pipeline and integration optimizing for performance and scalability across onpremise computing environments
- You will assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues leveraging standards and best practices towards the solution
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or Physics and 5 years of related work experience
- Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0
- Experience with deploying configuring maintaining COTS/FOSS products such as LDAP RHEL Tenable Consul Ansible Terraform
- Some travel (up to 10 may be required to support deployments
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance is required. After day 1. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) design development and deployment
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced high visibility program
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum SAFe)
- Container development and orchestration (E.g. Kubernetes/Docker)
- Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
- Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks
- Experience with code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase Bit Bucket)
- Experience deploying configuring and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management Confluence Bit Bucket Jenkins)
- Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python Java Ruby Bash C C# Go)
- Background in COTS/FOSS product installation configuration and integration
- Current CompTIA Security or ability to obtain
