Registered Nurse NICU Transport Blank Childrens Hospital
Shift: FullTime Nights 7p7a Every 4th Weekend and Holiday Rotation

As a member of the interdisciplinary team contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health with in the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Travels to other healthcare facilities under the direction of a neonatologist to participate in the care of the newborn. Provides bedside support in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Attends all high risk deliveries in the Maternity Center and procedures. The Neonatal Transport Team also supports Iowa Lutheran Hospital Maternity Center. A FamilyCentered Care approach is implemented in the delivery of care.
Education:
Graduate of accredited nursing program
BSN degree preferred
Experience:
No less than 2 years of NICU experience
6 months of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency
Backup transport experience preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
Successfully complete High Risk Neonatal Nursing certification within one year
