As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent you will work at a variety of labs so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills creativity and cando attitude are essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
Your Role:
As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for supporting our customers with onsite installation implementation maintenance and repair of company and multivendor systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware software and networking products as well as operating systems.
Responsibilities Include:
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Performs maintenance and repairs.
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers business.
Deliver fully integrated solutions which may include peripherals communications operating systems and applications software.
Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.
This role is open to qualified candidates residing 30 mile radius of either Baltimore MD or the Washington DC area.
Job Requirement:
Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites. Requirements may include but are not limited to proof of identification proof of certification to perform the work required customer health and safety requirements etc.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree within the science field (e.g. chemistry analytical chemistry biochemistry biotechnology) or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar position or experience as an end user.
Experience with troubleshooting and problemsolving Agilent LC and LCMS products preferred but not required.
Experience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.
Verbal and written communication is clear respectful and timely.
The position requires an active valid drivers license.
You enjoy traveling and visiting customers.
Travel 25 within the territory.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least April 16 2025 or until the job is no longer posted. In the US this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The fulltime equivalent pay range for this position is $33.23 $55.56/hr plus eligibility for bonus stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training.
