Job Description

Position Summary

The Opportunity:The Dual Credit Program Coordinator will oversee the development implementation promotion and growth of dualcredit options for career & technical education (CTE) programs at Skagit Valley College. Dualcredit programs build bridges between K12 and college closing equity gaps and boosting the rates of college attendance and degree attainment. Dualcredit options include Running Start College in the High School and especially CTE Dual Credit. Forging and nurturing strong partnerships with local high schools and skills centers is at the heart of this role. This position serves as a liaison building connections between CTE instructors at the college and the high schools and skills centers and facilitating crosscampus collaborations with multiple units in Student Affairs Allied Health and Arts & Sciences.

This position is scheduled for 30 hours per week which is dependent on workload. Hours per week may be adjusted based on the preferences of the candidate. The work schedule is flexible and has some remote work capabilities. The role requires regular travel to partner high schools and skills centers. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Workforce Education within the Academic Affairs division. The position is budgeted through June 30 2025. The extension of the position is dependent on the continuation of funding. The position is eligible for benefits and retirement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Program Development

  • Build new dualcredit partnerships and nurture existing collaborations between the college and its K12 partners;
  • Collaborate with high school and college faculty to align course curricula for CTE Dual Credit articulation agreements and College in the High School options;
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness gather feedback from K12 partners and identify areas for improvement and targets for future growth.

Program Coordination
  • Facilitate the course articulation process including the review and approval of agreements;
  • Ensure accurate contracts verification forms documentation and recordkeeping for all dualcredit courses and high school agreements for CTE programs;
  • Build knowledge of dualcredit policies and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Promotion and Outreach
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to promote dualcredit opportunities to K12 students parents and families and educators;
  • Deliver information sessions to high school students and parents explaining dualcredit benefits and processes;
  • Coordinate with outreach staff to support events such as workshops tryatrade events information sessions and career fairs;
  • Serve as a liaison to enrollment and student services to distribute communications and campaigns to increase enrollment;
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials.

Training and Support
  • Provide training and support to K12 and college faculty involved in dual credit processes;
  • Assist students with enrollment processes and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Data and Reporting
  • Collect and analyze data related to student participation performance and program outcomes;
  • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; or an Associate Degree plus two years of experience working in an educationrelated field;
  • At least two years of experience successfully managing projects working with multiple stakeholders and tracking results;
  • Experience building partnerships collaborating with external stakeholders or leading outreach efforts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Experience with K12 and/or higher education teaching and/or administration;
  • Experience working with diverse high school students and their families;
  • Track record of writing and/or managing grants;
  • Technical expertise in managing databases automating processes and/or managing web content.
