Job Summary

The Womens Basketball Head Coach will report directly to the Athletics Director or Designee. The Womens Basketball Head Coach will be a positive energetic leader with the ability to reach motivate and recruit studentathletes. The Head Coach is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a NCAA Division I womens basketball program including but not limited to managing daytoday operations; recruiting academically and athletically qualified studentathletes; practice and game day preparation and coaching; budget management; hiring and supervising assistant coaches; assisting with fundraising and adherence to NCAA Mountain West Conference and University/CSU rules; and developing positive relationships with faculty staff students media alumni and donors while interacting successfully with department personnel and the University community.

  • Knowledge of an proficiency in University NCAA and Mountain West Conference rules and regulations
  • Ability to analyze situations and develop solutions

  • Willingness and ability to participate in fundraising revenue development and budget development
  • Experience in organizing and motivating student athletes for maximum performance levels
  • Ability to work communicate and develop rapport with students alumni administration and community groups
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the year
  • Possession of a valid Drivers License
  • Ability to hire train evaluate and supervise employees

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree from an accredited fouryear college or equivalent professional experience in related field
  • College basketball coaching and/or professional playing experience or equivalent

License

A valid drivers license is required for this position. Out of state candidates selected for the position must obtain a State of California drivers license within 10 days of hire in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles regulations.

Once hired the employee must successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for California State University campuses.

Compensation

Classification: Administrator IV
Anticipated Hiring Range: $20563/month
CSU Salary Range: $10106/month $32441/month

The final hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.
