At ASSA ABLOY we dont just build products we build careers. Were expanding our team and looking for a Weld Lead to help launch and lead our brandnew 2nd shift team. This is your opportunity to shape processes train talent and play a key role in delivering topquality products to our customers.
This position will be onsite based out of our South Central Service Center or regional manufacturing facility located in Mesquite Texas.

Come see who we are at: would you do as our Weld Lead 2nd Shift
Youll be responsible for ensuring quality production team leadership and workflowefficiency.
You will also:
- Lead and Train: Coach and develop a skilled welding team to meet production goals.
- Ensure Quality and Accuracy: Oversee welding operations to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize Workflow: Manage scheduling and resources to ensure ontime delivery.
- Collaborate and Solve Problems: Work with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
- Safety First: Maintain and enforce strict safety practices to keep our team safe.
- HandsOn Production: Be ready to jump in and assist with welding and production work when needed.
- Schedule: Help to schedule manpower to ensure on time delivery.
- Other projects as needed
- Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment holding self and others accountable to ASSA ABLOY standards.
- Assure compliance with federal provincial local and corporate policies regulations AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience in welding & metal fabrication You know the ins and outs of shop tools equipment and processes.
- Leadership skills You have experience mentoring training and leading teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Problemsolving mindset You take initiative and find solutions to keep things running smoothly.
- Attention to detail Quality and precision matter to you.
- Physical capability Able to lift up to 75 lbs. stand for extended periods and work in a handson environment.
- Basic computer skills Comfortable using digital tools for tracking and reporting.
- Ability to read blueprints shop drawings and sketches
- Experience using forklift hand truck etc. (certification required training and testing provided if needed)
- Familiarity in First Aid a plus
