Description and Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate Degree or equivalent and 1 year related experience are required.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Responsible for attending all County Board and assigned County Board Committee meetings (or as defined by County Clerk) maintaining records of such meetings (recordings minutes agendas).

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides assistance to the Chief Deputy County Clerk
  • Provides assistance in supervision of Deputy County Clerks
  • Provides assistance to the County Board Chairman & County Board Members
  • Posts agendas for county board meetings
  • Ensures agendas are posted for county board committee meetings
  • Maintains county board meeting calendar
  • Provides county Board members with meeting materials
  • Performs various clerical duties in relation to county board and committees
  • Maintains all county board resolutions and ordinances
  • Maintains all executive session minutes and recordings
  • Creates ballot applications and poll book files
  • Provides election day support
  • Supervises an election night collection center
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

This position is considered confidential and is not included in the AFSCME Union Contract and Supervision is provided by the Chief Deputy County Clerk.
