The School of Arts & Sciences at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a fulltime (ninemonth) tenuretrack Assistant or Associate Professor of Biology position beginning August 2025.The successful candidate may teach in our undergraduate Biology and Biomedical Sciences programs graduate Physician Assistant program and/or graduate Physical Therapy program.Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in undergraduate anatomy and physiology graduatelevel medical physiology and/or gross anatomy. Some summer teaching is possible as well as courses in general biology and courses in the candidates specialization. Other duties include advising mentoring undergraduate research and supporting departmental school and university needs.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biology anatomy and/or physiology.
Advising and mentoring students.
Contributing to the development and enhancement of undergraduate and graduate programs.
Providing service to the department university and professional community.
Engaging in scholarly activities and maintaining active involvement in professional organizations.
Fulfilling other duties as assigned to support the mission of the School of Arts & Sciences and the university.
The successful candidate will minimally hold a doctorate in biology anatomy physiology or related fields (ABD candidates are welcome to apply). Preference will be given to candidates with a proven undergraduate and/or graduate teaching record evidence of human cadaver dissection experience and a clear research agenda that incorporates undergraduate researchers.
