Description
Crisis Therapist will provide onsite crisis intervention counseling with an assessment of the families need/functioning in Volusia Flagler and Putnam counties. The intervention will include stabilizing the situation through communication skills parenting skills relationship building behavioral techniques grief counseling interviewing of family members stress management techniques etc. Based on the clinicians assessment individualized referral recommendations will be provided to assist families with the identified need. Services provided under this program will include phone contact and assessment crisis response facetoface crisis assessment crisis stabilization shortterm intervention including psychotherapy referral and connection to service providers. The Clinician (Crisis Intervention) will work to empower the family working in tandem to generate solutions and develop strategies that help establish realistic goals. Therapist responsibilities include:
- Conducting skills training to assist the client and their families in overcoming the difficulties that led to the crisis and conducting ongoing assessment of need
- Collaborating with other service providers in the community to help establish needed services for the individual and the family.
- Providing education to the recipients family and significant others regarding mental illness and how to support the recipient.
- Providing inhomeservices therapeutic services with an interactive approach and documenting therapeutic interventions in the clients records in a timely manner
- Working closely with other team members in the treatment process ensuring coordination of services to meet the client needs and coordinating appropriate discharge planning
Position Details:
Pay Range: This position range is $50000 $5700 / annual (nonlicensed) & $55000 $62700 / annual (Licensed). Salary is based on relevant education and experience.
Schedule: MondayFriday 95; on call rotation.

Qualifications
Education:
- Masters degree in the field of counseling social work psychology field required
- Two years experience working directly with children and families. Preferred experience with children who are victims of physical abuse sexual abuse neglect or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and are committed and are emotionally disturbed Preferred
- Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida preferred.
- Bilingual (EnglishSpanish speaking) Preferred
Schedule:
- Must be able to complete a three day new hire orientation class (Monday Wednesday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
- OnCall Schedule (rotating)
Other Requirements:
- Valid Drivers license
- Successfully pass preemployment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
