This position implements policy procedure and evidencebased best practices in conjunction with patient treatment plans to create a safe and therapeutic environment for staff and patients. Due to these expectations the position requires strong knowledge skills and abilities related to identifying risk of patient aggression preventative/preemptive intervention crisis response and leadership to implement a team approach for aggression prevention for patients. These efforts include but are not limited to unit duties and administrative work such as attending committees. Concise documentation of patient risk ratings and plans to mitigate risk of aggression direct service to patients and provision of training/coaching/assistance/intervention fidelity for staff are essential to the success of the aggression prevention program and this position.The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to preemployment random postaccident reasonable suspicion returntoduty and followup drug and/or alcohol testing.To be considered for this position you must:

Experience
Resident Care Aide 6
No specific type or amount is required.
Resident Care Aide 7
One year of experience equivalent to a Resident Care Aide and successful completion of the Departments Resident Care Aide training program.
Resident Care Aide E8
Two years of experience equivalent to a Resident Care Aide including one year equivalent to a Resident Care Aide 7.
Resident Care Aide 9
Three years of experience equivalent to a Resident Care Aide including one year equivalent to a Resident Care Aide E8.
Additional Requirements and Information
Michigan licensure as a Practical Nurse.
