Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent to a bachelors degree in general business accounting or a related field;
A minimum of one year experience in accounting fixed asset management inventory control or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of one year experience working with Workday and/or Ellucian Banner;
Experience working with inventory tracking & scanning;
Knowledge of State rules and regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform monthly reconciliation of fixed assets additions and disposals;
Coordinate asset inventory scanning schedule with each department;
Monitor asset registration processes;
Ensure assets are registered accurately;
Tag and track lowvalue and capital equipment from acquisition to disposal;
Update Workday with required information;
Download/program scanners and convert files;
Provide exception reports and work with departments to resolve issues;
Perform departmental audits;
Assist campus and other users as needed with information about equipment;
Apply accounting principles to determine appropriate action;
Assist auditors during the annual audit process;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of state property accounting guidelines;
Knowledge of standard accounting principles and database management;
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace;
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of departments and stakeholders across campus;
Ability to conduct research perform inventory reviews and prepare reports;
Ability to coordinate with campus departments for tagging and tracking university property.
