Job Description

Summer CampLead Counselor Camp Flyers Club

  • Seasonal position; parttime and fulltime hours available
  • Schedule MondayFriday June 2 2025 August 1 2025
  • Camp hours are 7:00 am 6:00 pm shift options vary
  • Starting Hourly rate: $15.33
  • Nonexempt benefits not included

Summary: Maintains a safe environment for children; follows all safety procedures works with Camp Supervisors and Camp Aides to implement activities and fosters a nurturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming compassionate climate
  • Maintains a clean safe organized and orderly environment
  • Aware of and reports all broken equipment and unsafe situations
  • Models respect and caring in relationships with children parents families colleagues and community
  • Responsible for social development of children
  • Utilizes positive strategies to guide childrens social behavior to maintain an effective learning environment
  • Monitor all aspects of the program site as related to childrens safety
  • Responsible for creation and implementation of daily activities or implementing verbal or written lessons plan
  • Responsible for making sure all accommodation plans are followed to ensure the success of every child
  • Administer medication and records in accordance with department and district policies
  • Keeps accurate data and attendance on each child
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
  • Maintains confidential environment at all times
  • Responsible for developing and implementing individual goals for children
  • Responsible for assimilating data from a variety of sources in planning for each child
  • Responsible for communicating to parents and families verbally and helping with newsletters
  • Required to attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
  • Ability to push or lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform duties indoors and outdoors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
