The Associate Legal Counsel will play a key role on a small collaborative legal team and work crossfunctionally across the business. Youll report to the Senior Legal Counsel and manage a wide range of responsibilities from NDAs and vendor contracts to internal policies and subpoena reviews. What youll own and be responsible for:
- Drafting reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts including vendor contracts technology agreements partnership agreements and NDAs
- Evaluating software tools and services particularly those with AIrelated functionality
- Providing Legal oversight of vendor questionnaires and assisting with review of RFPs RFIs and other information requests from clients and prospects
- Responding to subpoenas UCC lien notices and similar thirdparty legal requests
- Maintaining and updating internal policies including UDAAP Privacy and Security policies and supporting related training initiatives in partnership with HR
- Managing consumer data requests and providing guidance for internal data privacy inquiries
- Handling ad hoc legal needs from HR such as handbook updates and consulting agreements
- Supporting marketing projects such as press releases white papers and campaigns
Qualifications :
- JD from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in your state of residence
- 23 years of legal experience (inhouse or fintech/payments background a plus)
- Comfortable managing a high volume of diverse detailoriented workstreams
- Strong communicator who can explain legal concepts clearly and concisely
- Curious collaborative and comfortable working crossfunctionally
- Interest in technology AI privacy security and/or productfocused legal work
- Ability to work independently adapt quickly and thrive in a fastpaced environment
