Job Description
Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) looking to join a team where your skills and passion for animal care will be celebrated Look no further than Animal Specialty Center (ASC) where were on a mission to provide exceptional care that keeps owners and their beloved pets together for as long as possible.
We are looking to add experienced fulltime and parttime LVTs to our talented Emergency department!
Schedule:
- Three 12hour shifts (Fulltime)
- Overnights
- Overnights: 8p 8a (shift differential)
- Weekends and Holidays required
Compensation:
- $28 $36 pending skills assessment leveling
- Shift Differential
- MTH Overnights: Base $4
- FSu Overnight: Base $6
**SIGN ON BONUS!!!!!**
- Offering $5000 sign on bonus for fulltime and $2000 sign on bonus for parttime for permanent placement on the overnight shift*
Retention Bonus!
- $2500 retention bonus at completion of 1 year for fulltime and $1000 retention bonus at completion of 1 year for parttime permanent placement on the overnight shift.
Common Skills used within ER as an LVT:
- Venipuncture & IV catheter placement
- Triage & Assess patients/obtain vitals.
- Critical thinking
- Providing nursing care/monitoring to hospitalized patients.
- Anesthesia Surgery prep Patient recovery
- Running inhouse lab testing & use of Cubex
- Filling prescriptions/Dispensing oral and iv medications.
- Drugadministration.
- Radiographs
- Provide client education!
- ECG monitoring
- Advanced CPR
- RECOVER certification provided for all employees.
Advanced skills include (but are not limited to):
- Central lines
- Placing urinary catheters
- Placing nasogastric tubes
- Placing nasal cannulas
- Maintaining indwelling tubes (chest tube feeding tube)
- Blood transfusions
