Job Description

Annual Salary Range:

Position Summary: We are seeking a detailoriented and highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of staff accounting experience within a publicly traded company or public accounting background or have worked at a large private company with a history of clean audits. The organization has experienced doubledigit organic growth for multiple years in a row and has deep client relationships across large MNCs and Fortune 500 companies. The company is committed to professionalizing finance accounting and reporting function with the intention of being audit ready.

This role plays a key part in financial reporting general ledger management account reconciliation and assisting with external (tax and financial) audits. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills a keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within the accounting team and across functions to support financial decisionmaking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare or Approve monthend close journal entries and reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare or review monthly account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Reconcile purchase orders and ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Produce adhoc reports as needed to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Generate and process weekly payment runs accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with accounts payable and/or cash application as needed.
  • Perform cash reconciliations to maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
  • Handle additional tasks and special requests as assigned by management. Conduct aging analysis to monitor and manage accounts receivable effectively.
  • Manage accounts payable ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax data file for internal review before sending it to an outside accounting firm.
  • Provide training to associate and staff level accountants.
  • Download and post corporate credit card activity on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with other tasks and crosstraining as requested by management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting is required.
  • Advanced computer skills with expertise in MS Office accounting software and databases.
  • High proficiency in data analysis to support financial decisionmaking.
  • Strong understanding of USGAAP accounting principles practices standards laws and regulations.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and daily tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information.
