Located in East Peoria Illinois WEEKNBC serves the Peoria /Bloomington and central Illinois region. As a legacy numberone station in the market WEEK has been transmitting for more than 65 years. WEEKTV transitioned to a Gray Media Inc. station on August 2 2021.
Job Summary/Description:
The best candidate will know how to create a great flow quick pace and wellwritten newscast. Were looking for a producer who knows the difference between stacking a show and creating a memorable newscast that meets our audiences needs.
Gathering information and stories from team members feeds sister stations and networks throughout the day. Collaborating with news management to select and prioritize content within rundowns. Adding stories and elements that will make the newscast more attractive for viewers.
Please note primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the information listed above
Qualifications/Requirements:
Some newscastproducing experience such as at a college level is required.
This is a great opportunity for a college student about to transition into their first fulltime journalism job with an opportunity for growth and advancement.
