ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Bouv College of Health Sciences is seeking a fulltime Coop Coordinator faculty member to work primarily with undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This position is a fulltime nontenure track faculty position. You will join a team of 10 highlymotivated professional experienced collaborative individuals who provide an outstanding cooperative education program to students in the health sciences.
Northeastern University is a national leader in cooperative education in which students alternate between academic study and work experiences. This is a full time nontenure track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Cooperative Coordinator rank.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Education of Students: The Coop Coordinator will prepare students for the coop search and work experience both by teaching coop related courses each semester and through individual career advising meetings. Preparation includes teaching interviewing skills resume writing communication skills professional behavior ethics and other relevant learning objectives. Additionally the Coordinator will help to prepare the international student population for employment in the United States. The Coordinator will be available to advise students during their coop assignments and will provide an opportunity for students to reflect about their coop experiences.
Integrated Learning: Cooperative education is an integral part of the academic experience at Northeastern and our philosophy is that learning in the classroom is enriched by practical experience and practical experience enriches classroom dialogue. The Coop Coordinator will collaborate with college faculty administration and other Coop Coordinators to help students integrate their coop and academic experiences. They will also share knowledge of industry with academic faculty to integrate workbased learning with curriculumbased learning.
Employer Relations/Job Development: The Coop Coordinator is expected to develop partnerships with employers by working with practitioners managers and human resources contacts; develop new and maintain ongoing coop positions and advise students to apply to these positions; maintain a current understanding of the industry/field employers and positions. Activities to support this endeavor include site visits to new and existing employers and outreach to potential new coop employers via alumni contacts professional networking etc.
Service: The Coop Coordinator will also perform coop departmental college and university service as agreed upon by the Director of Coop for the Bouv College of Health Sciences. Further they will be encouraged to engage in service opportunities outside the University to enhance the reputation of the coop program and the University.
Collaboration with Programs on Northeasterns Global Network Campuses: This position will potentially work with Nursing coop students on some of Northeasterns network campuses such as Burlington Charlotte Fall River Oakland and others and work on coop employer development in these locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
A masters degree in an area related to nursing higher education college student development counseling education psychology or experience in career development and counseling of students is required by the appointment start date as well as a minimum of three years of professional work experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills and comfort presenting to diverse audiences.
Experience working with students and staff from diverse backgrounds and demonstrated commitment to achieving and maintaining a sense of belonging in the workplaceProficiency in computer/technology and database maintenance and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge and appreciation of cooperative education and/or experiential learning and its impact on an individuals career development.
Ability to effectively engage a diverse network of global stakeholders across time zones.

Pay Range:
Assistant Coop Coordinator: $87000 $102000 Associate Coop Coordinator: $96000 $113000 Senior Coop Coordinator: $94000 $117000With the pay range(s) shown above the starting salary will depend on several factors which may include your education experience location knowledge and expertise and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarlysituated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
