Job Description
Postdoctoral Associate
The University Writing Program at the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Associate in the Teaching of Rhetoric and Writing to begin August 16 2025. The position is a nontenure accruing appointment with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years. The University Writing Program is a thriving program offering a wide range of writingintensive courses in areas such as themed critical thinking and writing writing in the disciplines and professional writing. Postdoctoral Associates teach existing upperdivision courses in areas such as Writing in the Law Writing in the Medical Sciences and Writing in the Humanities and develop courses in their own areas of interest. The teaching assignment is 3/3/2.

Ph.D. Required
Experience teaching disciplinefocused writing is preferred
Candidates may have expertise in any area of composition and rhetoric literature or culture though the following interests are encouraged: environmental or social justice rhetoric digital and media studies science writing and publicfacing or communityfocused writing
