What will you do
- Use inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: onsite program replenishments and disbursements receiving putaway stock rotation cycle counts order entry and expediting customer service call resolution product returns and backorder processing
- Perform laboratory services such as order delivery glassware processing biological waste processing chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation and media preparation
- Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various reports to ensure contractual requirements are met
- Proactively connect with the supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems and effectively address customer concerns within established resolution timeframes.
- Be involved with safety programs such as hazard identification inspections and incident reporting/investigation as needed.
- Engage in process improvement activities
- Support customer labs through collection washing and autoclaving
- Handle customer requests for lab glassware liquid autoclave requests.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
2 years of related experience within a laboratory setting is preferred. Experience working in customer service is also a plus.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Able to read write and speak English fluently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service. This includes maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values including confidentiality.
- Possesses a strong desire to serve the customer and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
- Independently operates handheld scanners to enter data in various systems as needed; as well as analytical skills to reconcile reports.
- Demonstrates computer proficiency and possesses intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses interpersonal skills to multitask and meet due dates as needed.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Works primarily at customer sites which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemicalbased allergens are in use (such as penicillin tetracycline etc)
- Depending on the area of the building personal protective equipment may be worn including lab coats coveralls hoods facemasks hairnets safety gloves steeltoe shoes (required for all colleagues) bump hats and/or safety glasses.
- Regularly required to lift 30 40lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Periods of standing walking and conducting manual material handling (twisting bending reaching lifting etc. for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms outside etc.
- Potential for overtime as needed.
