Lincoln Regional Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Specialist to join our team. Under supervision the Training Specialist will be assigned training activities in support of Hospital operations. Duties are relative to the development and application of general to advanced instructional skills learning approaches methods or techniques. Assignments may be broad in nature and include comprehensive reviews of literature statutes rules and/or policies. The use of initiative and independent judgment is confined to program topics or the specific body of work assigned.

Utilizes best practices to provide adult learning opportunities for a wide variety of subject areas which may require certification as an instructor or whose classes relate to hospital needs. Serves as professional resource for employees and managers regarding classes/programs taught.

Researches develops and schedules new training to meet identified hospital objectives. Plans and delivers interactive and engaging coursework materials and training in a classroom webbased or elearning environment and on the units. Modifies existing course curriculums.

If invited for an interview a five to ten minute presentation will be required to present with your subject of choice.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Two years experience and/or training in planning and presenting information and/or education to others through formal training workshops seminars or other instructional venues including experience developing training programs or curriculum. Associates degree in education human resources organization communication training and development or related field may be substituted for experience.

Preferred Qualifications:Developing training programs and curriculum. Experience working with mental health illness or similar population.

Other: Must be 19 years of age. Valid Drivers License.

Wage: $21.523 per hour $3.00 per hour facility differential while working.

Shift: MondayFriday 8:00am5:00pm. Hours may require some flexibility depending on the need for training.



Knowledge of: learning theories concepts methods and techniques utilized in the field of adult instruction; training principles methods and materials utilized; employee coaching and counseling techniques.

Skill in: researching topics for curricula development and training; presenting educational materials in a classroom setting or elearning framework; creating rapport with students/teaching group.

Ability to: conduct formal program assessments to determine agency/client training needs and develop learning opportunities to address identified needs; assess trainee/student learning achievement and competency demonstration and develop related individual learning/mentoring programs; evaluate the effectiveness of individual training courses and initiate or recommend course changes based on evaluation; operate audiovisual and computer equipment to present training or instruction; establish and maintain effective working relationships with trainees supervisors and agency administrators.
