ABOUT LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES:
The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) is the second largest municipal health system in the nation. DHS operates as an integrated health system operating 25 health centers and four acute care hospitals in addition to providing health care to youth in the juvenile justice system and inmates in the LA County jails. Requirements

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
Six months experience assisting in the performance of autopsies at the level of the Los Angeles County class of Autopsy Technician* AND training in black and white color and digital camera techniques.

PHYSICAL CLASS III Moderate:
This class requires that the incumbent stand or walk most of the time with bending stooping squatting twisting reaching working on irregular surfaces occasional lifting of objects weighing over 25 pounds and frequent lifting of 1025 pounds.

DESIRABLEQUALIFICATIONS:
Additional credit willbe awarded toapplicantswho have experiencein excess of the Selection Requirements.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT INFORMATION
: *Forthisexamination experienceatthelevelofAutopsyTechnician intheCountyofLos Angeles is defined as assisting in the performance of autopsies on human cadavers.

NO WITHHOLDS ARE ALLOWED FOR THIS EXAMINATION. APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE SELECTION REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF FILING.

OUTOFCLASS:
County employees who wish to meet the requirements using outofclass experience will be considered for this examination. Those claiming outofclass experience should describe their outofclass duties in detail in the Work Experience section of their application. Applicants are also encouraged to submit any supporting documentation such as out of class/additional responsibility bonuses verification of experience documents and performance evaluations in order to assist staffs review of applicants qualifications.

EXAMINATIONCONTENT: Thisexaminationwillconsist ofanevaluationofexperiencebaseduponapplication informationanddesirable qualifications weighted 100.

Candidatesmustachieveapassingscoreof70%orhigherontheexaminationinordertobeaddedonthe eligible register.

ELIGIBILITYINFORMATION:
Applications will be processed on an as received basis and those receiving a passing score will be promulgated to the eligible register accordingly.

Thenamesofcandidatesreceivingapassinggradeonthe examinationwillbeplacedontheeligibleregisterand will appear in the order of their score group for a period of twelve 12 months following the date of eligibility.

NO PERSON MAY COMPETE IN THIS EXAMINATION MORE THAN ONCE EVERY TWELVE 12 MONTHS.
