Victoria University (VU) is seeking an experienced Associate P&C Business Partner who will assist managers and employees with operational human resource advice and support in a small designated client portfolio.

About the Role

The Associate P&C Business Partner manages a small designated client portfolio and works closely with the Senior P&C Business Partners to further develop the skills required to deliver a customercentric solutionoriented human resource advisory service.

Some of your duties include:

  • Provide high quality timely and specialist advice guidance and interpretation to staff and supervisors on all People and Culture related policies and procedures enterprise agreements and relevant legislation.
  • Support the Senior P&C Business Partners in relation to organisational change including but not limited to coordination of change activity contributing to the development of the change initiative and design and administration activity to support efficient planning and implementation.
  • Develop and author relevant P&C reports including but not limited to: new hires terminations compliance probation exit surveys and any other reports as required.
  • Provide advice to the respective client portfolio on the development and classification process of position descriptions and associated recruitment processes.

This is a fulltime continuing role offered at HEP 7 classification with salary range being $97863 $105932 per annum plus 17 superannuation working 36.75 hours per week

About You

  • Knowledge or Training Equivalent to: Completion of a degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education /training.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret industrial instruments legislation policy and procedures and provide timely advice.
  • Demonstrated commitment and capacity to deliver quality client/customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload in a busy/demanding environment and complete competing work tasks within tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative judgement and decision making within the remit of this role.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) presentation and report writing skills.
