Job Description

About STMA Schools:

We are a district that serves over 6700 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 14 two middle schools for grades 58 and one high school for grades 912.


Position Location: District Office Department of Technology

Start date: TBD
FTE: 1.0

Contract:260days

Requirements & Qualifications

Masters degree in Business Software Development or other Technologyrelated years of experience managing technology operations in an educational setting is preferred. One year of experience hiring and supervising staff is preferred.

Salary & Benefits
Salary range $135000$150000 commensurate with experience and qualifications in same or similar role. Position Overview & Responsibilities:

The Director of Technology oversees all facets of the technology department ensuring the effective operation and support of technology and technology related platforms and services throughout the school district. Responsibilities include managing the technology budget evaluating and purchasing hardware/software and supervising the print functions of the district. This position involves knowledge of emerging technologies ensuring safe data integrations and maintaining hardware/software security. Finally this position will coordinate building level technology support for district staff including providing staff development support for technology as needed.

Essential Functions & Skills

This position requires an ability to work independently under the direction of the superintendent as well as with coordinators directors and principals across several buildings and departments.
