The Observation Unit at IMMC is a 14bed unit dedicated to providing accelerated care with further management to determine patient need for inpatient admission or discharge. As a member of the interdisciplinary team contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers while promoting effective working relationships.
Education:
Must be at least 16 years of age
High School graduate/equivalent or in a High School/equivalent program
Basic CNA course (Advanced preferred) and completion of 1 clinical rotation
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for workrelated reasons
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three 3 months from date of hire
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Writes reads comprehends and speaks fluent English
Multiculture sensitivity
Microsoft Office basic computer skills
Customer/patient focused
