Associate Corporate Counsel Amazon Studios

Are you looking for a new challenge in a fastpaced innovative company Come make history with Amazon Studios legal department. We are looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly evolving and expanding original programming slates.

In this role you will primarily support Amazons scripted television series and featurelength motion picture groups with a focus on managing all legal aspects during development to production.

Key job responsibilities
Structuring drafting and negotiating a high volume of agreements for scripted series and motion picture projects including rights option/purchase and acquisition agreements key abovetheline agreements such as writer producer and director agreements first look and overall agreements production services agreements and coproduction agreements.
Managing chainoftitle across projects and evaluating and resolving complex rights issues.
Analyzing issues interpreting contracts and providing thoughtful legal advice to creative business affairs production marketing publicity and other teams on potential risks and issues involving a wide range of legal areas including intellectual property defamation rights of publicity and privacy rights guilds labor and employment public policy safety and regulatory and compliance matters.
Assisting with the development of forms processes and policies.

2 years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
Experience working as a lawyer for television or feature film productions
A mix of law firm and inhouse experience preferably at a network studio or production company
Ability to work independently while effectively supporting and collaborating with crossfunctional teams
Strong analytical skills and a solutionsoriented approach to addressing issues
Practical and sound judgement even in ambiguous situations
Excellent organizational and communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
