Job Description
Abington Friends School is an ambitious Quaker school community with a powerful academic program for children age 3 through grade 12. Our students seek intellectual adventure build strong analytical and creative thinking skills and form a sturdy sense of self. More information is available at school seeks a parttime Afternoon/Extended Day Staff Member interested in working with early childhood and lower school aged children. The Extended Day Staff generally work as Assistant Teachers in the later afternoons and then guide afterschool care activities. Extended Day Staff work between 20 to 25 hours per week between the hours of 1:30 6:00 p.m. with some flexibility in timing.AFS highly values diversity of race background religion ability sexuality and gender identity in our community and see the hiring process at AFS as one which allows us to nurture sustain and extend the diversity that is fundamental to our excellence as a Friends School.We seek individuals who have experience working with young children and who have completed or are working toward their undergraduate degrees.
