In support of Pierce College Districts mission vision and core themes the Faculty Recruiter and Human Resources Specialist performs administrative and confidential support duties for the Vice President of Human Resources campus Vice Presidents of Learning and Student Success and college Presidents relating to faculty recruitment adjunct (parttime faculty) onboarding and professional development.

The position manages the fulltime and parttime faculty recruitment processes; maintains all records related to recruitment and credentialing; develops related reports contracts and correspondence; and serves as a liaison between faculty and administration related to provisions of the negotiated agreement. As a team member of both Learning and Student Success and Human Resources this position actively supports and engages in Pierce Colleges goals for equity and inclusion in order to provide access and support for our diverse community of learners.

This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. This position requires regular and consistent attendance and may be eligible for 1 2 days of remote work once established in the position.

  • Ability to initiate and maintain professional relationships with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organizations mission and vision.

  • Computer literacy; Microsoft Suite; Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) software etc.

  • Ability to travel between Pierce College campuses and/or sites.

    Terms of Employment

    This is a fulltime administrative exempt position.The anticipated start date for this position is May 16 2025.The primary work location will be at Pierce College at Fort Steilacoom.Occasional travel to Pierce College campuses an/or other sites may occur. Standard work hours are between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday however hours will vary with occasional evening and weekend hours required. This positionmayis eligible for 1 2 days per week for telework once established in the position.This position requires regular and consistent attendance.

    Salary & Benefits

    The salary range for this position is$71208.00 to $88101.00 annually;new hires typically start at $78000.00.Our paycheck is just part of the total compensation package.     Physical Work Environment

    This position is required to work indoors in an open office environment which requires visual concentration on detail dexterity precision and is subject to frequent noise and interruptions. This position operates in a dynamic and fastpaced environment. This position may be required to work outdoors during recruiting events.
