Skills Required:
Support the management of Enterprise and Operational Technology (OT) networks and support in the resolution of any escalated IT and OT related issuesOversee the management of network and telecom changesImplement new technologies and manage implementation of network hardware and softwareMaintain and optimize network system architecture standards to deliver cost effective solutions and improvements which in turn deliver tangible business benefitsDrive innovation aligning to the overall strategy of the IT teams to improve the overall operations and effectiveness of TransAltaWork with business analysts project managers and business units to ensure that project requirements are well understood documented and approved by all stakeholdersServe as an escalation point for major issues related to IT network services ensuring prompt resolution SkillsetIn depth knowledge of IP V4 protocol stack specifically Routing VoIP and Security protocolsCisco IOS and CLI configuration and management of switches routers and ASAPalo Alto or other next generation Firewall configuration and managementSNMP based network monitoring / management systemWired and wireless networks and standardsExperience with Microsoft Azure or other 3rd party cloud service. Providing management and configuration of network cloud computing infrastructureMeraki or other controllerbased wireless network management systemVoIP experience SIP QOS DSCP taggingIT Security incident networking based on Purdue and NIST Cybersecurity awareness of NERC CIP complianceWireshark or other protocol analyzerHave a valid Alberta Driver
