Valley News Live is looking for an outgoing and energetic Director of Sales to lead the sales of our marketleading digital properties and newscasts. The leading candidate will be a detailoriented individual and selfstarter who thrives in a creative fastpaced environment and knows how to motivate their team to connect with local businesses. A focus on digital marketing is critical for success in this position.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Train and work with our team of MultiMedia Executives to achieve their goals and expand their earning potential.
* Be visionary in creating tactical plans to meet digital and local TV sales goals.
* Must be a forward thinker in helping local businesses develop their business and at the same time move our new business first strategy forward.
* Must be able to maximize digital and TV inventory with a focus on maximizing the earning potential of the inventory.
* The Director of Sales will work closely with the Multimedia Sales Manager and National Sales Manager to execute the stations revenue goals.
* The General Sales Manager is an active voice in our management team and must be able and willing to engage with other department heads.
* Will work with the General Manager not only on annual revenue budgets but also on regular revenue forecasts and strategic sales initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* 5 years in media sales with an emphasis on sales development.
* Previous experience in guiding motivating and leading a sales team.
* Proficiency with Wide Orbit Matrix and Microsoft Office.
