NHW is the major regional health service and specialist referral facility for Northeast Victoria. It serves a population of approximately 102000
performs over 6500 procedures a year and has over 19000 inpatient episodes and 30000 Emergency Department attendances a year and approximately 700 births per year. We have onsite radiology pathology and blood bank service. NHW provides a wide range of acute specialist medical and surgical services an emergency department critical care unit (ICU HDU CCU) obstetrics and gynaecology paediatrics specialised aged care medical oncology services community rehabilitation inpatient community aged and psychogeriatric mental health services.
NHW has recently completed a major redevelopment including the building of a new emergency department ICU and expansion of medical and paediatric units
The Clinical Director of Paediatrics will demonstrate strong effective and collaborative leadership in both clinical and strategic areas. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of paediatric services at NHW while ensuring the delivery of highquality care effective clinical governance and continuous service improvements. As a key member of the Paediatrics leadership team you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager Medical Workforce Manager and Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS) to optimise clinical outcomes drive operational excellence and support teaching and research initiatives.
