The Opportunity:

As a Junior Formulator Scientist youll be responsible for developing quotes for products like tablets capsules powders and gummies scaling up laboratory formulations to commercial production quantities while ensuring product quality and consistency.

What Youll Do:

• Develop formulation quotes for new business opportunities for tablets capsules and powders.
• Making and maintaining internal R&D documents and ensuring all changes are documented through the proper process.
• Work with the innovation team for new supplement formulations including capsules tablets and gummies.
• Help in benchtop and piloting of probiotic gummy formulations including ensuring a pleasant and appealing taste experience.
• Assisting with product development writing manufacturing directions and using laboratory test instrumentation for raw materials and finished products.
• Adhering to company guidelines including cGMPs SOPs and safety procedures.
• Interfacing with internal departments including purchasing manufacturing inventory control quality assurance/quality control sales and customer service as required.
• Assisting with QA/QC or customer projects as required.
• Writing and creating SOPs and cGMPs as required to assure total compliance for all regulatory agencies.
• Revising all manufacturing directions and creating new raw material specs.
• Work closely with Quality Control.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in food science Nutrition Chemistry or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 3 years experience in the development of nutritional products.
• Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Ability to read write and speak English fluently. (Bilingual Spanish a plus).
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Must be able to calculate potencies to meet label claims.
• Ability to compute rate ratio and percentages. Familiarity with the metric system.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent problemsolving analytical and organizational skills.
• Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 25 lbs.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $60000. to $70000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidates geographic region jobrelated knowledge skills and/or education.
