GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our Team. We are seeking a fulltime Laboratory Supervisor in our Moncton New Brunswick office.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Civil Engineering Degree Civil Technician/Technologist Diploma or higher in a related field.
- 4 years or more experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of CSA Concrete requirements for laboratory and field testing.
- English or French speaking
Main Duties:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
- Adhering to all company policies.
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the Moncton Laboratory.
- Perform testing of material samples record and document test results in accordance with applicable CSA and/or ASTM standards while maintaining a high level of quality control.
- Ensure the laboratory is maintained in a clean and professional manner.
- Ensure with the assistance of GEMTEC that all work carried out in the laboratory is done so in a manner that is safe for all GEMTEC employees and any visitors to our laboratory.
- Work with management to ensure that the equipment and training required to effectively carryout laboratory work is present.
- Record test data and prepare factual reports summaries data sheets or graphs for interpretation of test results.
- Other duties as required including but not limited to:
- Field work during low volume periods in the laboratory.
- Maintain a team player attitude with all employees of GEMTEC assisting coworkers when needed.
Position:
- Full time 37.5 hours per week)
- Must have a valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle for work related travel.
- Salary range: $39000 $49000 per year
