Job Description

About the Opportunity

The Northeastern University Marketing department is looking for a Creative Operations Manager to join our growing dynamic team at the Roux Institute. In this role you will be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of work that flows through the marketing department at the Roux Institute keeping the team on task and on time. Reporting to Managing Director Strategy Operations and Growth you will work closely with the key crossfunctional partners in both the central marketing and Roux Institute marketing teams; aligning on portfolio prioritization and shaping the creative process for efficiency and scalability. This position is a fit for someone who has an understanding of marketing projects and experience managing a portfolio of work in a fastpaced environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and facilitate all marketing work for the Roux Institute portfolio from intake to completion

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to identify the scope timelines and resources needed to successfully complete all assigned projects/tasks

  • Ensure the team is on task and projects on deadline handling the logistics and internally routing of work

  • Communicate clear and actionablecreativefeedback to the team distill information from cross functional partners and stakeholders evaluate scope and arrange for revision timing accordingly

  • Ability to identify when to escalate critical issues that affect project deadlines or deliverables in a timely manner

  • Independently coordinate internal and external partners including freelancers agencies and vendors as needed helping to cultivate relationships with a focus on building trust.

  • Manage the contracts and invoicing process and reconciliation with all thirdparty vendors and agencies involving stakeholders as needed.

  • Leverage the central marketing team processes and dashboards to report out on portfolio health communicating any possible issues with workload and prioritization

  • Establish and reinforce best practices and documentation

  • Increase efficiencies by proactively identifying and solving problems and integrating with marketing team leads.

Qualifications:

Provide the minimum education experience and skills required to perform the job successfully.

  • 5 years of experience in a marketing traffic project management operations or production role

  • Proficient with project management practices and software

  • Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail the ability to multitask and time management

  • A respectful collaborative team player who thrives in a fastmoving environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Selfstarter with a can do attitude with strong problemsolving abilities

  • Ability to develop crossfunctional relationships (e.g. writers designers developers and senior management)

Familiarity/Experience with the following a plus:

  • Experience planning and managing a portfolio with a high volume of work both print and digital projects.

  • Report to the director of marketing about the current workflow and communicate any possible issues with workload and prioritization

Project Management and Routing of Work 50

  • Manage a set of marketing projects including the development of project schedules setting meetings and owning the routing of project deliverables

  • Ensure the team is on task and projects on deadline handling the logistics and internally routing of work

  • Communicate clear and actionablecreativefeedback to the team distill information from cross functional partners and stakeholders evaluate scope and arrange for revision timing accordingly

  • Respond to project issues that may impeded project delivery and coordinate solutions

  • Monitor and analyze project metrics to identify opportunities for operational and financial efficiency

  • Define methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects
