Job Description Summary
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) located in coastal Charleston SC seeks an exceptional pediatric infectious diseases physician to join a dedicated and talented group of physicians. The Division of Infectious Diseases resides within a highly collaborative and academically diverse Department of Pediatrics and also enjoys a close working relationship with the Infectious Diseases Division in the Department of Internal Medicine. A successful candidate will contribute to the operation and expansion of the division with shared coverage of the inpatient and outpatient clinical services and partnership in our clinical teaching and quality improvement missions. In 2020 MUSC Childrens Health opened the Shawn Jenkins Childrens Hospital and Pearl Tourville Womens Pavilion a 100000 square foot 250bed stateoftheart building that is transforming the delivery of fetal womens and childrens care in the region. Supporting the outstanding clinical care at our Childrens Hospital and Womens Pavilion is the Charles P. Darby Childrens Research Institute the largest pediatric research facility in the Carolinas and one of only 15 like it in the country.
