As a Tutor or Senior Tutor in Media and Communications youll have the opportunity to shape the minds of future marketing and communications professionals. Youll develop your teaching skills in a supportive environment engaging with diverse areas such as media theory digital environments and industryfocused subjects. This role offers you the chance to grow your academic career while contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs that prepare students for dynamic careers in media marketing and communications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver HighQuality Teaching: Support subject coordinators in delivering tutorials seminars and potentially lectures to a high standard.
- Assess and Guide Students: Prepare administer and mark assessments providing valuable feedback to support student learning.
- Contribute to Course Development: Assist in developing course materials and subject content enhancing the programs curriculum.
- Engage in Scholarly Activities: Participate in scholarship to support and disseminate teaching practices within the discipline.
- Support Administrative Functions: Attend meetings and undertake administrative tasks related to your position and the broader program.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a committed and engaging educator with tertiarylevel teaching experience possessing a strong background in Marketing and Communications and a deep understanding of diverse student learning needs.
You may also:
- Have completed an Honours or Masters Degree (for Tutor position) or PhD (for Senior Tutor position) in a relevant discipline or have equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrate a track record of effective teaching and learning practices.
- Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Show an ability to interpret and apply policies relevant to teaching and student support.
- Exhibit professional and collegial behaviour of a high standard.
- Have experience in subject coordination and curriculum development (desirable).
- Show an emerging record of pedagogical or academic research that enhances teaching practice (desirable).
