As a Dispatcher you play a key role along with our officers in keeping the campus safe. Youll take calls from the public dispatch officers to incidents monitor alarms and cameras. While you must be prepared for any emergency we dont experience high call volumes. You have the time to develop relationships with colleagues in our tightknit department. We also value our rapport with the community. A recent survey shows that the majority of campus constituents support our Police Department and threequarters feel safe or very safe here.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary for this position has been established as $4416 per month.
External Candidates are eligible for a onetime nonbase building hiring bonus of up to $5000 or 10 of starting annual salary. The 1st half of the bonus eligibility will begin on start date and the 2nd half of the bonus will be paid after completion of the inhouse training program.
This position is eligible for overtime compensation.
The above hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
If you have prior stateclassified service in the same class series as this position your pay may be set at a higher amount per the state Step Pay Program implemented on July 1 2024.
