The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire an energetic and detailoriented Vocational & Training Administrator to provide leadership and oversight of the vocational and training services provided at the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest Illinois. The Ludeman Developmental Center strives to provide equitable access to social/human services supports programs and resources to enhance the lives of all who we serve.
Serves as the Vocational & Training Administrator for the Ludeman Developmental Center.
Prepares budget requests for Vocational/Training departments.
Coordinates training programs both on and off campus for staff of the center to facilitate and upgrade employee skills competencies and both horizontal and vertical movement.
Serves as fullline supervisor.
Develops and revises the center Staff Training Manual and curricula.
Serves on various centerwide program and clinical committees task forces and teams and provides advice and guidance regarding habilitation plan coordination and vocational/training services.
Conducts staff meetings notifies staff of new or revised policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four 4 years college.
Requires three 3 years progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization.
Three 3 years of professional supervisory experience assigning work providing guidance to subordinates recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements training staff approving time off and preparing and signing performance evaluations.
Three 3 years of professional experience recommending changes in policies for improved services and care and treatment of individuals served for a public or private organization.
Three 3 years of professional experience developing a training program for a public or private organization.
Three 3 years of professional experience in the care treatment and development of intellectually disabled individuals.
One 1 year of professional experience communicating with both internal and external stakeholders in oral or written form daily ensuring detailed and critical analysis of work performed.
One 1 year of professional experience developing programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Three 3 years of professional experience working in an education or training related field.
One 1 year of professional experience developing a budget for a public or private organizations program.
One 1 year of professional experience presenting written and pictorial instructional information before groups of diverse backgrounds.
Bachelors Degree in an educational related field.
Requires the ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary to prevent injury to individual or others.
Requires ability to travel in the performance of job duties.
Requires the ability to work after business hours weekends and holidays on a rotation basis as Administrator on Duty (AOD).
Requires the ability to utilize office equipment including personal computers.
Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen for prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
