Job Description

High Point University Department of Psychology is seeking qualified candidates for fulltime faculty positions at the undergraduate level beginning August 2025. Open area of concentration. The is a renewable 3year contract position.

High Point University is a mediumsized liberal arts university in central North Carolina with approximately 5000 undergraduate students. The Psychology Department offers a B.S. in psychology with approximately 230 majors and 125 minors.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Psychology Research Methods and established departmental courses within the applicants area of training. Candidates should be actively engaged in scholarship. Doctorate in Psychology is required at the time of employment.

Applicants will be required to submit an application cover letter vita graduate transcripts a statement of teaching philosophy experience and evidence of teaching excellence a statement of research interests reprints or preprints and three confidential letters of recommendation.
