Job profile:
The successful applicant will perform experiments using a worldwide unique experimental setup for allattosecond pumpprobe spectroscopy. Following a recent breakthrough in our lab where we demonstrated the first tabletop allattosecond transient absorption spectroscopy experiment the goal is to study extremely fast electron dynamics in atoms and molecules. The position provides some flexibility with respect to the physical processes to be studied which will be discussed with the applicant.
The entire project will be realized in an optimal environment with respect not only to the existing infrastructure but also to the available experience and possibilities for national and international collaborations. This will provide the necessary basis for achieving essential results within shortest time as well as for their dissemination at international level.
Requirements:
We are looking for highly motivated and talented applicants. PhD in physics is required. Experience in attosecond physics pumpprobe spectroscopy and absorption spectroscopy are highly desired.
Offer:
MBI offers a 2year appointment. The payment is according to the German TVD salary scheme for scientists in public research institutions.
MBI is an equal opportunity employer and places particular emphasis on fostering career opportunities for women. Qualified women are therefore strongly encouraged to apply. MBI supports the reconcilability of family and working life and is certified as a familyfriendly by the family audit.
