Job Description:

Instruct highquality dance classes to Aims Community College students and staff as scheduled.
Embrace and apply the Colleges purpose vision mission and commitment to diversity.
Clearly explain and demonstrate exercises and equipment.
Provide modifications tailored to various skill levels.
Supervise and assist class participants in utilizing equipment.
Instruct participants on safe equipment usage and intervene in unsafe actions.
Address inquiries regarding class content.
Demonstrate strong communication skills.
Display effective leadership and organizational abilities.
Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of all class participants.
Promptly address risk management issues as they arise.
Document all emergencies and injuries accurately and promptly.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must hold a postsecondary educational degree:
Associates Degree accompanied by 8000 hours of related experience and a relevant certification (if applicable) OR
Bachelors Degree accompanied by 4000 hours of related experience and a relevant certification (if applicable) OR
Masters Degree in Exercise Science Kinesiology or related field accompanied by relevant certification (if applicable).
Hold a validCPR/First Aid/AEDcertification or have the ability to obtain Aid/AEDclasses are offered to staff at no expense.
Physical effort is required including but not limited to lifting weights squatting bending reaching spotting and prolonged standing and walking.
A preemployment postoffer physical exam will be required of the selected candidate.
Confident and knowledgeable about the course subject matter and technique.
If applicable maintain an accredited sport or activityspecific certification or license.

Initial screening will be conducted by a committee based on completed application materials.
Employees in these positions may be asked to participate in temporary assignments lasting less than nine 9 months (such as curriculum development short term projects meetings and substitute duties) which could amount to additional temporary pay.
