The Criminal Justice Institute (CJI) is a campus of theUniversity of Arkansas Systemthat serves a unique population of nontraditional studentscertified law enforcement professionals who are actively employed within our States police departments and sheriffs offices. The Institute is committed to making communities safer by supporting law enforcement professionals through training education resources and collaborative partnerships. Utilizing both classroombased instruction and practical handson application CJI provides an educational experience designed to enhance the performance and professionalism of law enforcement in progressive areas of criminal justice including law enforcement leadership and management crime scene investigation computer applications traffic safety illicit drug investigations and school safety. Instructor Qualifications:
Subject Matter Expert in the area of instruction.
Previous instructional experience.
At least five years experience in the either law enforcement/criminal justice industry/field or school administration and/or field of instruction.
Satisfactory background check (certified law enforcement and school administrators excluded).
Agreement of terms and conditions of Lecturer/Instructor employment agreement.
Ability to travel to instruction site.
A minimum of an Associates is required for all degree program courses.
